How Do I Remove an Advancement? (SB)

How do I remove credit for a rank, adventure, or merit badge in Scoutbook?

A unit administrator can remove the advancement completion by clicking on the Scout > Scout’s advancement > Select the advancement > Select the Completed checkbox at the top of the page > Remove the date of completion and any check marks > Save. You can remove the requirements by clicking on the checkbox next to a requirement > Remove the date and any check marks > Save.

If all you want to do is remove the advancement approval, but not the completion date, do the following:

A unit administrator can remove the approval of an advancement by clicking on the Scout > Scout’s advancement > Select the advancement > Select the Completed checkbox at the top of the page > Remove approval check mark (and awarded check mar if it is there) > Save.

There is a tool to undo a number of incorrectly recorded advancements provided by a volunteer supported tool. For more information go here.

If you are trying to remove a Cub Scout advancement from a different rank than the Scout is currently working on, see the information here.
