Not Receiving Scoutbook Emails

If you or another user is not receiving Scoutbook calendar invites, reminders, and general messaging emails, the user may have turned on Messaging Opt-Out.

On the Send Message screen, you will see who has Messaging Opt-Out turned on by the “No Emails” text displayed next to their name.

To receive messages again, the user must update their Email Preferences. Scoutbook admins cannot make this change, only individual users can turn off Messaging Opt-Out.

To turn off Messaging Opt-Out:

  • Login to Scoutbook, go to My Dashboard
  • Click on My Account
  • Click Email
  • At the top of the Update Email Preferences screen if the Messaging Opt-Out is toggled to the right (with red background) — see image below — click the button on the right side to turn off
  • You will receive a notification pop-up message “You have opt-in for Scoutbook notifications. You will be receiving emails from Scoutbook”
  • Confirm the Messaging Opt-Out toggle now has a gray background

If you want to edit your e-mail address, go to the Scoutbook Plus (Internet Advancement) Profile page. Changes made to profile information may several hours to 1 day to update in Scoutbook.
