Why is it separate from Scoutbook?

Internet Advancement is the quick entry tool for unit leaders to record advancement items for units that do not use Scoutbook.

Internet Advancement uses to the Scoutbook database, so anything you approve in Internet Advancement you can instantly see in Scoutbook (and the app) and visa versa.

NOTE: If you are using Scoutbook for your unit’s advancement, you do not need to use Internet Advancement for advancement. Since Internet Advancement uses different reporting and marks approved items as awarded, Scoutbook users should not use Internet Advancement for advancement. Where appropriate, when you click on some items in Scoutbook, you will be directed to Internet Advancement pages. So you can just keep on logging into Scoutbook to manage your unit.
