Some notes on Internet Advancement and Scoutbook and Unit Changes
Please note that Scoutbook and Internet Advancement utilize the same database now. The difference between the applications is how much visibility each application provides to the data.
If the Scouts move or transfer to a different unit, and the adults who are currently leaders do not transfer with the Scouts, then they will lose access to the Scouts in Scoutbook and Internet Advancement.
For Scouts moving to units that don’t wish to utilize Scoutbook: Units who choose not to use Scoutbook can use Internet Advancement and will see completed advancements there (they will not see requirements.)
A Scout’s records in Scoutbook and Internet Advancement are not deleted. If they drop from membership and come back later with the same member ID then all records they have in Scoutbook and Internet Advancement will be visible to the Scout and the unit leaders of the new unit. If their membership ID changes, the records can be copied from the previous member ID.
